Qi Men Dun Jia – or “magical door, hidden Jia” in English – is an ancient Chinese art originally used during wartime period to devise important military strategies and war tactics. Back then, Qi Men’s popularity in war was linked to its notable usage by famous wartime strategists such as Zhuge Liang and Liu Bowen. Similar to most of the ancient arts that survived the course of time, Qi Men is no longer utilized for war purposes. These days, Qi Men is mainly applied for business, trade and other important matters. It is also deployed as an advanced system of divination used by strategists and leaders to gain an upper hand over competitors.
At its very core, Qi Men is essentially a study of time and space. The instantaneous nature of a Qi Men reading makes it an invaluable tool for making a decision at a precise moment of time such as a business meeting, negotiation or investment.
All Qi Men reading begins with the plotting of a Qi Men chart. A Qi Men chart is extremely precise and exact because it is plotted based on the hour of reading that constantly changes like the energies of the surroundings.
Using the same Qi Men chart, users can read and analyse the various components – doors, stars, stems and gods – for different perspectives and goals. Each component acts as a denominator, representing different depending on the nature of the reading. Similarly, a Qi Men reading can be specific or general, depending on the scope and range of the analysis.
